Washing Your Wig
Detangle with Care
Gently brush your wig from the ends upward using a wide-tooth comb or wig brush. This keeps strands smooth and prevents breakage.
Hold Under Cool Water
Wet hair completely, aligning all of the fibers.
Gently Lather with Shampoo
Use a capful of synthetic hair shampoo.
Rinse it Fresh
Rinse under cool running water until all shampoo is out.
Show it Some Love with Conditioner
Apply wig conditioner, wait 3–5 minutes, then rinse again with cool water. Avoid the base cap, as this may affect the knots. (Your wig will thank you!)
Pat & Dry
Lay your wig on a towel and gently pat away excess water. Never wring or twist. Then place it on a wig stand to air dry—keep it away from sunlight or heat.
Ready to Style
- Synthetic wigs: skip the hot tools unless your wig says “heat-friendly.”
- Human hair wigs: style as you normally would once dry.
Tips:
- Washing every 6–8 wears (or whenever it feels a little dull) keeps your wig looking fresh, soft, and fabulous.
- Always air dry on a wig stand. Blow dryers and radiators are a no-go for most wigs.
- A gentle comb-through with a wide tooth womb after wearing helps prevent knots from building up.
Find Your Wig Size in 3 Easy Steps
1. Measure Around Your Head
- Place a soft measuring tape at your natural hairline, just above your forehead.
- Run it behind your ears, around the nape of your neck, and back up to the starting point.
- This gives you the circumference.
2. Measure Front to Nape
- Start at the center of your front hairline.
- Run the tape over the crown of your head, straight down to the nape of your neck.
3. Measure Ear to Ear
- Place the tape just above one ear.
- Cross the crown of your head, ending just above the opposite ear.
Tips
- Always measure on flat, smooth hair (or wrap natural hair tightly).
- Take measurements 2–3 times to ensure accuracy.
- If you’re in between sizes, choose the larger size for comfort.
